On April 3rd & 4th, 2002, bidders from around the country flocked to Portland, Oregon, to attend a
nearly 3,000 item auction. The 2-day public auction hosted 750 bidders who frenzied over lap tops, desk
top computers, 21" monitors, servers, networking equipment, warehouse handling equipment, office furniture
& home & audio accessories. There was a lot of excitement & anticipation as the IBM AS/400 server
sold for $140,000. While the first day of bidding featured high tech & office equipment, warehouse handling
equipment & home & audio accessories brought in a different type of bidder on the second day. Forklifts,
conveyor systems, heavy duty racking, scales, scanners, & packaging material began the second day while
the day rounded off with big screen TV¹s, DVD players, surround sound systems, digital cameras, MP3
players, amps, speakers & more! It is safe to say there was something for everyone at 800.com.
