MurphyLive! is the James G. Murphy Co. live online bidding system which allows you to participate in real-time live bidding at selected auctions from the comfort of your computer. Registration information, downloads and terms are listed below.
Advance Bidding is our online absentee bid system which is available at all James G. Murphy Co. auctions. For information and terms for advance bidding, CLICK HERE.
Your next opportunity to bid online with MurphyLive! will be at the auctions listed on our auction schedule page which have the MurphyLive! logo to the left of the auction name. Registration for MurphyLive! is now open and will close at 2PM the day prior to the auction. Registrations submitted after 2PM may not be elgible to bid at that auction but will be processed at a later date and approval will be considered for future auctions only.
Users of our Advance Bid system may register for MurphyLive! by clicking on "Add MurphyLive!" on the left side of this screen.
HOW TO LISTEN LIVE!
If you already have an Adobe Flash-enabled browser, simply CLICK HERE to listen during any Kenmore Heavy Equipment & Vehicle auction listed on our auction schedule. Please note that the audio player will display a status message and remain silent until the auctioneer addresses the floor at the beginning of an auction or at the end of a break!
Once you have Flash installed on your computer, you can also listen to our auctions on the audio tab inside the MurphyLIVE bidder application.
If you do not have the Adobe Flash player installed on your computer, please CLICK HERE to install it from their download page.
If you are unsure of your browser's ability to play flash audio, you can visit their ABOUT page to get a status report on your current player - please update if your status doesn't come back as version 9,0,28,0 installed.
HOW TO BID LIVE!
MurphyLIVE Version 2.0 with integrated audio is now available for download!
UPGRADE from an earlier version ~ If you have been directed here to update your software from MurphyLIVE (version 1.4 or lower), please click UPGRADE to automatically replace your version with MurphyLIVE 2.0.
New MurphyLIVE users ~ Software and documentation are free to download (located on this page below), but financial approval by our accounting department is required to login as a qualified bidder.
Please take the following steps to bid using MurphyLIVE...
- MurphyLIVE is a full windows client application that you will download and install on your computer. Once you have this software installed on your computer, you will login and bid inside the MurphyLIVE application (not from the James G Murphy, Co website).
You may choose to download the software at this time (if you have already registered), or return to this page after you have completed the registration described next. The download link for MurphyLIVE is located at the bottom of this page!
- Registration and approval is required before bidders will be given access to MurphyLIVE. Please follow the link in the box on the left side of this page to request bidding approval. New users will be directed to a new registration page and will be required to fill-in the necessary contact information. They will be given a choice to sign-up for MurphyLIVE, Advance Bidding or e-mail notifications. Current users of our Advance Bidding system can click on the link to add MurphyLIVE. This link will bring them to an edit registration page where they can make a request to add MurphyLIVE approval to their existing account.
- Approval - registrants will be contacted within 24 business hours of sign-up and will be given instructions on how to provide James G Murphy, Co with the required credit information. Once registrants have this information at hand, a final phone call will be required to be granted approval and receive a MurphyLIVE UserName.
JUST WANT TO DEMO MurphyLIVE?
For a full demo of MurphyLIVE, download and install the MurphyLIVE software package below and login with:
username = livedemo
password = kenmore
* This username and password are only to be used inside the MurphyLIVE application - they do not provide any access or registration on this website.
NOTE: No registration is needed to login as a livedemo user, but this feature is only available during our Kenmore Car & Heavy Equipment auctions. Please check our Auction Schedule for your next chance to demo MurphyLIVE.
ADVANCE BIDDING or E-MAIL SIGN_UP ONLY?
New users can follow the New Registration link in the box on the left without checking the box to request MurphyLIVE approval. Filling in this registration will give you access to Advance Bid and allow you to sign-up for e-mail notification of future auctions.
Current users can just follow the Fully Registered link on the left and sign-in as before.

Also, please read the System Requirements document before attempting a MurphyLIVE install. MurphyLIVE was specifically designed for Windows XP users with the Microsoft DotNet Framework 2.0 installed as described in that documentation.
If you have trouble installing due to DotNet 2.0, please follow the link provided below to download Microsoft's latest version of this framework.
